How to create classification code

Classification Code:

Classification code is a set of codes (Segments) to classify the customer based on the different criteria.

Ex: If You want to segment some list of customers based on the ‘Customer GENDER’ categories, You can Classify ‘GENDER’ as a classification group it contains code such as Male, Female unknown etc. as classification codes (Segment codes).

Create classification Code:

To create classification code, follow below steps for creation

Navigate to Segmentation module -> Select Classification codes -> Hit on Create code group link.

Click on view button or Add classification button to create new classification code.

Enter below information’s and hit on create button.

  1. Classification Code ID – Provide unique ID without any spaces.
  2. Classification Code Name – Provide classification name.
  3. Classification Code Description – Enter the classification description.
  4. Classification code type – Select appropriate classification code type from dropdown
  5. Group Type – Select a group from the drop-down.

Range – Defines the range between start and end.

Unique – Define the unique value

  1. Classification Period – Select the subgroup period from the look up find window.
  2. Unique value – Provide unique value if group type is selected as Unique.
  3. Min Value- Enter the minimum value (If group type is selected as Range).
  4. Max Value – Enter the Max value (If group type is selected as Range).
  5. Sequence No – Provide the sequence number to display in the sequential order.

Once created You can see the created classification code in the classification grid section:
