Related Parties - Customer
Manage the contacts tagged to your Customer.
By default, all the Contacts tagged to the selected Customer will be listed here.
To create a new Contact in the system and link to Customer:
- Click on the ‘Create Contact’ button. The user will be redirected to the ‘Create Contact’ screen.
- The user can fill in the required details and click on Save.
- The Contact will be created, and the user will be redirected to the View Contact screen.
- The newly created Contact will also be linked to the Customer from which it was created. This Contact will be listed in the Related Parties tab of the Customer.
To link an existing Contact to the Customer:
- Click on the ‘Add from Existing’ button.
- A popup will be displayed with a list of all the Contacts in the system.
- Search for the required Contact using the search boxes and click on the record once found.
- The popup will be closed, and the selected contact will be listed in the ‘Related Parties’ tab.
- The checkbox ‘Primary’ will be checked for the Primary Contact of the Customer.
- The association of an existing contact and Customer can be removed by clicking on the Remove button against the specific contact.
To dissociate a Contact from a Customer:
- Click on the Remove button against the Contact to dissociate the Contact from the Customer.
- The system will check whether there are open Opportunities/Activities/SRs for this Contact against this Customer and display a warning if open records are found.
- Once the user manually closes the Open records and tries to remove the contact, the contact will be removed successfully.
- If the contact being removed is currently the Primary Contact of the Lead, the system will automatically mark the next oldest contact assigned to the Customer as the Primary Contact.
- If only the Primary Contact remains attached to a Customer, the system will display an error message when you try to remove the contact.
